Dog Walking
30 minutes
Follow all agreed-upon times, routes, and schedules. Ensure fresh water and food are in place. Pick up and dispose of pet waste. Take all necessary safety precautions while in my care. Provide regular updates to clients including photos via text. Notify the owner of any change in dog’s routine or habits.
Drop Ins
30 minutes
The same rules apply as dog walking, except let dog outside for potty breaks two times, upon arrival and before leaving.
Overnight stays
In the dog’s home
Follow all typical rules and routines already established for your dog. During any overnight stay, your dog will get a lot of attention! Along with keeping your dog company and well cared for, your home will be kept tidy, mail will be checked daily, and plants watered upon request. Feeding schedule, medications and nighttime routines will be followed. Food and drink do not need to be provided. Sleeping arrangements catered to dog’s needs.

My Story
Hi, I’m Jennifer! Owner and operator of Sophie’s Companions, a dog walking, drop in, and overnight stay service in your home!
The pup you see at the top of this page is Sophie, my beloved pug mix. Sophie passed away 8/11/22 at age 15 and to this day I can’t get over what a blessing she was to me. She was with me during some of my hardest days, from job changes, to divorce recovery, moving (more than once), and loss of family. I’m not sure I could have survived these trials without her.
After losing Sophie, I knew I wasn’t ready to replace her, but I also knew I had to do something to stay connected with dogs. They bring me so much JOY. I own an independent insurance agency, and Sophie was always with me while I worked. Suddenly the house was so quiet. I decided to start Sophie’s Companions in her honor, and what a blessing it has been! I have had so many pups come into my life that I never would have met without this new adventure!
Truth be told, Sophie rescued me, and showed up at my door when I needed her most. We don’t deserve dogs, and they never live long enough. I will never forget her, and I am so grateful I had her for 15 wonderful years! I still have so much love in my heart to give, but I am still not ready to replace my sweet Sophie, so now I spend my time and give my hugs to your sweet dogs.
